Red Fort Blast Probe Reveals Hamas-Style Drone Attack Plot Across Delhi

The investigation into the Red Fort blast has taken a darker turn as the NIA uncovered evidence showing the accused had initially planned large-scale rocket bomb strikes across Delhi before turning to a car bomb. According to sources, the group was actively attempting to develop a Hamas-style drone system capable of launching rocket-based explosives into crowded and high-security zones. Investigators revealed that the module was modifying commercially available drones to carry and launch lethal payloads, a tactic seen in conflict zones controlled by Hamas and ISIS. Their goal was to cause mass casualties, trigger widespread panic, and attack symbolic structures to draw maximum attention.

The breakthrough came with the arrest of two key associates of main accused Dr Umar un Nabi. Jammu and Kashmir resident Jasir Bilal Wani, described as a deeply radicalised political science graduate, had been providing technical expertise for drone modifications and rocket assembly. He had even been groomed as a potential suicide bomber and admitted to meeting members of the so-called Doctor Module in Kulgam before being shifted to Faridabad near Al Falah University. Another accused, Amir, was detained earlier for procuring the vehicle used in the blast. When their drone and rocket attack plans failed, the module switched to a car bomb packed with IEDs, leading to the deadly explosion near the Red Fort that killed fourteen people and injured dozens. With digital devices and communication logs under scrutiny, the NIA continues raids across Kashmir, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi to uncover the full extent of what officials describe as a highly sophisticated and white-collar terror network.
