Pawan Kalyan Accuses Previous Government of Scamming Tirumala Laddu Preparation, Vows to Expose Truth
In a press statement today, DCM Pawan Kalyan strongly addressed the ongoing Tirumala laddu controversy, accusing the previous YSRCP government of a major scam in the preparation of the sacred prasadam. Kalyan claimed that palm oil and harmful chemicals had been used instead of pure ghee in the preparation of the famous Tirumala Srivari Laddu, which he said not only hurt the faith of devotees but also compromised their health.
Kalyan emphasized the seriousness of the issue, pointing out that the matter had reached the Supreme Court, though the CBI had not cleared the previous government's involvement at any stage. The DCM accused the YSRCP government of showing hostility towards religious traditions and Hindu sentiments, leading to a breach of trust with the devotees.
Presenting figures, Kalyan revealed that a company had supplied 59.70 lakh kg of palm oil to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and an additional 1.7–2 lakh kg of chemicals for laddu preparation. He raised the question as to why a ghee supplier would need such large quantities of palm oil and chemicals, calling it "adulterated ghee," as well as adulterated vanaspati and palm oil.
Kalyan also made a striking allegation that one lakh laddus sent to Ayodhya for the consecration of the Ram Mandir were made using the same adulterated ingredients, an act he claimed deeply hurt Hindu sentiments. He further accused the previous government of animosity towards God and Hindu traditions, insisting that exposing the truth was his responsibility.
"We will not back down on this issue," Kalyan declared. "We will make you kneel in front of Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy. The NDA government is fully committed to upholding Hindu dharma." With the controversy continuing to unfold, Kalyan's statements have raised significant public interest, and the NDA government has vowed to pursue the matter until the truth is brought to light.
