IndiGo Pauses Select Overseas Flights
IndiGo has announced a temporary suspension of flights to six international destinations, affecting travellers planning trips to parts of Southeast Asia and China. The airline will stop services to Langkawi, Krabi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong and Shanghai from July 1, 2026, while flights to Siem Reap will be paused from July 3.
Why The Routes Are Being Suspended
The airline said the move is part of a limited network adjustment due to softer travel demand in the upcoming quarter and a challenging cost environment. Continued airspace restrictions have also added pressure on operations, forcing the carrier to review capacity on select international routes.
What Passengers Should Know
The suspension is currently planned until September 30, 2026. Bookings for the affected routes are expected to reopen from October 1, depending on market conditions and operational feasibility. Passengers with planned trips on these routes should check refund, rescheduling and alternate flight options through IndiGo’s official channels.
Despite these temporary cuts, IndiGo will continue operating more than 1,800 international flights every week, meaning most of its overseas network remains active. For travellers, the important step is to check flight status before booking holidays or connecting trips on the affected routes.
