What Happened on Flydubai Flight FZ1073?

The incident took place on September 30, 2026, while Flydubai Flight FZ1073 was travelling from Dubai to Tel Aviv. Reports say the co-pilot attacked Captain Machchhar inside the cockpit, after which the aircraft experienced a rapid loss of altitude and transmitted emergency signals. The plane was eventually diverted and landed safely at Tabuk in northwestern Saudi Arabia

Captain Machchhar Injured During Cockpit Attack

Despite sustaining serious injuries, Machchhar reportedly managed to open the cockpit door, allowing passengers and crew members to intervene. Two off-duty pilots among the passengers also assisted in taking control of the aircraft before it was safely landed in Saudi Arabia.
