Vijay’s Final Push Before TN Polls: Vote For TVK, Reject Divisive Politics

Chennai: Vijay, chief of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, made a strong final appeal to voters ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2026, urging them to support his party’s “Whistle” symbol.

Addressing supporters through a message on X, Vijay thanked the public for their continued support since his entry into politics and described voters as his “own kin.” He emphasized that his political journey is focused on public welfare and dismissed claims that he would give in to pressure from established parties.

The actor-turned-politician alleged that his party has faced consistent political pressure from rivals, including Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and Bharatiya Janata Party. He asserted that he would not bow to threats or intimidation from what he described as powerful or “fascist-minded” forces.

Positioning TVK as a growing political force in Tamil Nadu, Vijay said the party is rooted in social justice and backed by strong support from youth, women, and global supporters. He described the party as a powerful movement capable of challenging traditional political structures in the state.

Vijay also warned voters against supporting rival parties, claiming that money power and self-interest are influencing the election environment. He urged citizens to make informed choices at the ballot box. Making a direct appeal, he encouraged voters to come out in large numbers on polling day and cast their vote for the “Whistle” symbol. He expressed confidence in a strong electoral performance for his party.

Polling in Tamil Nadu will take place in a single phase on April 23, with counting scheduled for May 4. The main contest is between the DMK-led alliance and the NDA led by All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, while TVK is aiming to establish itself as a significant third force.
