Hyderabad Rains: Two Die Of Electrocution As IT Corridor Faces Severe Waterlogging

Heavy rain brought parts of Hyderabad to a standstill on Tuesday evening, June 9, 2026, as two people died due to electrocution and several key roads witnessed severe waterlogging and traffic congestion. According to police, the two victims were electrocuted in the Bandlaguda area after coming in contact with a live electric wire that had fallen on a waterlogged road during the heavy downpour. Reports identified the deceased as an auto-rickshaw driver and a 15-year-old student.
