Bomb Threats Sent to 40 Delhi Schools, No Suspicious Items Found

On Monday morning, around 40 schools in Delhi, including prominent institutions such as DPS RK Puram, GD Goenka, and Modern School, received a bomb threat email. The sender demanded $30,000, warning that bombs were planted inside the buildings. The email prompted a swift response, with bomb detection teams, fire officials, police, and dog squads conducting thorough checks at the affected schools. Fortunately, no suspicious items were discovered at any of the locations.

The bomb threat email, sent late Sunday night, warned that small bombs had been hidden inside the buildings, though the sender claimed the explosions would not cause significant damage to the structures. Several schools, including Mother Mary's School, dispersed students as a precautionary measure, with parents advised to pick up their children immediately. Delhi Police officials have confirmed the email was sent from the address "[email protected]" and that the investigation is ongoing.

This bomb threat follows a similar incident from May, when over 200 schools, hospitals, and government buildings in Delhi received bomb threats sent through a Virtual Private Network (VPN). The authorities are still investigating the source of these threats, which have caused significant concern among parents and the public.
