Former Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister Ambati Rambabu, known for his sarcastic and outspoken political style, recently targeted Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan with a sharp comment about the latter’s focus on his film career. Ambati questioned Kalyan’s commitment to Andhra Pradesh, sarcastically stating that the DCM is more involved in shooting for upcoming films like Ustad Bhagat Singh, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, and OG than attending to state matters.
However, Ambati’s remark did not go unanswered. Janasena Party (JSP) supporters took to social media to fiercely defend Pawan Kalyan, pointing out Ambati’s own controversial past during the YSR Congress government. They recalled how Ambati was seen celebrating festivals and dancing publicly while irrigation projects suffered neglect, questioning his credibility to criticize Kalyan.
Social media users also criticized YCP leaders for their apparent disconnect with the political reality in Andhra Pradesh, highlighting the public’s rejection of YCP in recent elections and suggesting that Ambati’s comments reflect a political delusion that could further weaken YCP’s position in future polls. The exchange adds another layer of intensity to the already heated political climate in Andhra Pradesh as the two parties continue to spar publicly ahead of upcoming elections.
