Kareena Kapoor recently broke her silence regarding the traumatic incident where her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, was stabbed six times during a robbery attempt at their Mumbai residence on January 16, 2025. Speaking in a candid interview with Barkha Dutt on Mojo Story, Kareena revealed how the shocking event continues to haunt her. “We still haven't come to terms with it 100%, at least I haven't,” she admitted, adding that the initial months following the attack were filled with anxiety and sleepless nights. The fear of the incident still lingers, even as time helps the memory fade.
Kareena, a mother to their two sons, Taimur and Jeh, explained how she struggled to balance her role as a mother and a wife while dealing with the trauma. "It's wrong to put that stress on them," she said, referring to her children, acknowledging the difficulty in shielding them from the aftereffects of such an incident. Despite the challenges, she expressed gratitude for Saif's recovery and their strength as a family unit. She hopes the experience will shape her sons into resilient individuals. Taimur, in particular, fondly refers to his father as "Iron Man," symbolizing the strength Saif exhibited during the ordeal.
Kareena also touched on how this traumatic experience could influence her children's upbringing. "I hope my boys will grow up to be a different kind of resilient because they’ve seen their father being attacked," she shared. This challenging chapter has made the family stronger, and while the trauma still lingers, Kareena believes that Saif's survival will make her sons more empathetic and resilient. Despite the toll the attack took, Kareena remains thankful that Saif survived and they continue to heal together as a family.
