Fall Book And Media Sale Returns To Pleasanton Library Sept 11–14

Book lovers, bargain hunters, and community supporters can look forward to the return of the Fall Book and Media Sale at the Pleasanton Library from September 11–14. Hosted by the Friends of the Pleasanton Library, the event is held twice a year to raise funds for library programs, technology, and special needs.

The sale has become a popular tradition in Pleasanton, typically raising close to $15,000 per event. Proceeds directly support library services and enhance resources for the entire community.

Shoppers can expect thousands of donated items, including adult and children’s books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles, games, and even vinyl records. “Our bi-annual book sale is a great place to find wonderful treasures and gifts — or just a good book or two for yourself and your family,” organizers say.

Event Schedule

  • Thursday, Sept. 11: Members only 11 a.m.–2 p.m., open to public 2–7 p.m.

  • Friday & Saturday, Sept. 12–13: 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

  • Sunday, Sept. 14: 11 a.m.–3 p.m., bag sale (fill a provided bag for $7).

The Friends of the Pleasanton Library encourage the community to donate books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles, games, and magazines, which make up the bulk of sale inventory. Membership sign-ups are available online or in person at the event, offering early access benefits and year-round opportunities to support the library.
