Tollywood producer Allu Aravind, one of the most influential figures in Indian cinema, has found himself in the middle of a controversy after the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) served him a show-cause notice regarding construction violations at his property in Jubilee Hills. The incident comes just days after the passing of his mother, Allu Kanakaratnamma, whose final rites were attended by several family members and prominent film industry celebrities.

According to GHMC Town Planning officials, the show-cause notice was issued for the construction of an unauthorized penthouse at Allu Business Park, located on Road No. 45, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Reports confirm that permission was originally granted for a structure comprising only four floors. However, an additional penthouse was allegedly constructed without prior approval, leading to the intervention of municipal authorities.

The notice has asked Allu Aravind to explain why the illegal penthouse should not be demolished. So far, he has not provided a response to the corporation’s queries. If the explanation is not deemed satisfactory, officials may proceed with demolition or impose penalties in accordance with municipal regulations.

Apart from his reputation as a leading film producer and one of the wealthiest personalities in Tollywood, Allu Aravind has made extensive investments in Hyderabad’s booming real estate market. The Allu family already owns and operates Allu Business Park, which houses several film-related companies. Additionally, they have developed a film studio in Kokapet and are constructing a theatre project in the same area, further expanding their influence in both cinema and real estate.

This latest GHMC notice has raised discussions about compliance and the accountability of influential personalities when it comes to urban planning norms. While the matter is still under review, it has certainly put Allu Aravind and his family’s real estate projects under the spotlight.
