Chandrababu Reveals Devotee’s Massive 121 Kg Gold Donation at Tirumala Temple

Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy Temple is regarded as one of the wealthiest places of worship in India, thanks to its ever-growing pilgrim donations and Hundi collections. Recently, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu shared a fascinating story highlighting the depth of devotion shown by one anonymous businessman. According to Naidu, this devotee, who attributed his immense business success to the blessings of Lord Venkateswara, made a staggering offering of 121 kilograms of pure gold to the Tirumala temple.

The businessman had recently sold a 60% stake in his company for nearly $1.5 billion, which translates to around 6000–7000 crore rupees. As an expression of gratitude, he decided to make this rare and extraordinary donation. Out of humility, he wished to remain unnamed, but his act has already captured the imagination of devotees across the country.

Tirumala’s Daily Tradition and Devotion

Naidu pointed out that Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy is adorned every day with gold ornaments weighing close to 120 kilograms. This makes the devotee’s donation not only symbolic but also deeply aligned with the temple’s traditional practice of adorning the deity in grand splendor. Such acts of faith underscore the immense trust and belief millions of devotees place in Lord Balaji. The offering serves as yet another reminder of how Tirumala continues to inspire unshakable devotion, generosity, and reverence among people, reaffirming its unique place in India’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
