Telangana Signs Key Global Partnerships at Davos Summit to Boost Economy and Innovation

Telangana made a significant splash at the 2026 World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, showcasing its ambition to become a global hub for innovation, technology, and sustainable development. Led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the Telangana delegation secured several key partnerships and investments aimed at propelling the state’s economy to new heights. One of the most notable agreements was with Blaize, a US-based company specializing in energy-efficient AI hardware and software. This partnership will facilitate the expansion of AI, semiconductor, and electronics R&D in Hyderabad, positioning Telangana as a tech powerhouse for the future.

In addition to the tech sector, Telangana took a strategic step in the aerospace and defense industry by signing an agreement with Sargad. The deal includes the development of an aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Telangana, with an expected investment of ₹1,000 crore over the next few years. The state also made strides in international collaborations, particularly with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), launching the Bharat Future City project. This ambitious initiative near Hyderabad aims to create a net-zero smart city, drawing global investors and partners to contribute to its growth.

On the corporate front, French multinational L’Oréal committed to setting up a Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad, focusing on beauty technology. This investment, totaling around ₹3,500 crore, is expected to generate hundreds of jobs, further bolstering Telangana’s reputation as a destination for global innovation. The Telangana delegation also unveiled the Next-Gen Life Sciences Policy 2026-2030, with a goal of attracting $25 billion in investment and creating nearly 500,000 jobs. This policy is part of the broader vision, "Telangana Rising 2047," which aims to transform the state into a $3 trillion economy by 2047.

These engagements at Davos reflect Telangana’s growing global presence, combining technology, sustainability, and strategic partnerships to create a thriving, investment-friendly environment. The state’s focus on innovation and collaboration signals a bright future for its economic growth, aligning with its vision of becoming an internationally recognized hub for business and development.
