Indian-Origin Man Gurbhej Singh Killed in Southall Stabbing, London Police Launch Murder Probe
On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, a 26-year-old Indian-origin man, Gurbhej Singh, was stabbed to death in Southall, west London. The Metropolitan Police have launched a murder investigation and appealed to the public for witnesses, CCTV footage and any information that could help detectives establish what happened.
The incident took place on North Road, near the junction with Dormers Wells Lane, in the early hours of Wednesday. Emergency services were called to the scene after reports of a stabbing. Police officers and paramedics attended the location, but despite efforts to save him, Singh was pronounced dead at the scene.
Second Man Injured in the Incident
Another man, believed to be in his 30s, was also injured during the incident. He was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged. Police are continuing to examine the circumstances that led to the attack and whether the injured man was directly connected to the altercation.
Police Appeal for CCTV and Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell of the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command said homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into Singh’s death. Police believe Singh was assaulted outside a shop near the junction of North Road and Dormers Wells Lane at around 12:30 am.
Investigators have urged anyone who was in the area at the time, or anyone with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell camera footage, to come forward. Officers are reviewing available evidence from the scene and nearby locations as they work to reconstruct the events leading up to the fatal stabbing.
Seven Arrested, One Man Released on Bail
Police arrested seven men at the scene on suspicion of murder. The men were aged from their early 20s to late 30s. Following further enquiries, six were released with no further action. The seventh man has been released on bail and is expected to return at a later date as the investigation continues.
Family Being Supported by Specialist Officers
The Metropolitan Police said Gurbhej Singh’s family is being supported by specialist officers. Detectives are continuing to pursue leads and have asked members of the public not to ignore even small pieces of information that may help the investigation.
