Apple is expected to unveil its next premium smartphones within the next two months, but the biggest discussion surrounding the iPhone 18 Pro series may be its price rather than a major new feature.

Apple is reportedly planning a different release strategy for the wider iPhone 18 lineup. The iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and Apple’s first foldable iPhone may launch in September, while the standard iPhone 18 could arrive later in the spring.
iPhone 17 Pro Could Offer Better Value
For buyers upgrading from an older device, the iPhone 17 Pro may become the more sensible purchase. It already delivers premium performance, advanced cameras and long-term software support without the expected iPhone 18 Pro price increase.
Waiting may still make sense for buyers who always want Apple’s newest hardware or who particularly value the rumoured camera, battery and connectivity improvements.
However, people working within a fixed budget may find that the likely price difference outweighs the benefits. Discounts on the iPhone 17 Pro after the next launch could make the value gap even wider.
