Actor Sonu Sood has just made headlines for a big real estate deal in South Mumbai. The Bollywood actor sold his luxury apartment in Mahalaxmi for a whopping ₹8.10 crore, netting a profit of nearly ₹3 crore after holding the property for more than a decade. The flat is part of Lokhandwala Minerva, a prestigious residential tower in one of the city’s most sought-after neighborhoods.
According to official documents reviewed by SquareYards, the deal was registered in August 2025. The apartment features a carpet area of 1,247 sq. ft., a built-up area of about 1,497 sq. ft., and comes with two parking spots.
Sonu Sood had originally purchased the property in 2012 for ₹5.16 crore. After 13 years, the resale brought him around ₹2.94 crore in profit. The paperwork shows that the transaction included a stamp duty of ₹48.60 lakh and a registration fee of ₹30,000.
Mahalaxmi’s location makes it one of South Mumbai’s most prime addresses, offering easy access to Lower Parel, Worli, and Nariman Point. Surrounded by luxury towers, the area boasts stunning views of the Arabian Sea and the famous racecourse, adding to its real estate appeal.
On the professional front, Sonu Sood was last seen in Fateh, which also marked his directorial debut. Released in January 2025, the film starred Sonu as Fateh Singh, alongside Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah. The actor-turned-director has already hinted at a sequel, sharing that he thoroughly enjoyed the directing experience.
