Miss Wales, Miss Zambia Shine in Miss World Challenge

The Miss World 2025 competition has reached its final stages, and the energy is electric in Telangana, India, where contestants from around the globe have gathered to showcase not just beauty, but purpose. Among the many impressive participants, Miss Wales Millie-Mae Adams and Miss Zambia Faith Bwalya have emerged as powerful voices, each making a lasting impression in the much-anticipated Head to Head Challenge.

Millie-Mae Adams, representing Wales, is currently training to become a doctor. She attributes her ability to connect with people to her medical background, which helped her deliver a compelling performance during the challenge. Making it to the Top 20 was unexpected but deeply rewarding. She spoke about the emotional moment of going head-to-head with her close friend, Miss Ireland, and how the experience highlighted both competition and camaraderie. The questions she faced revolved around education and purpose, perfectly aligning with her life’s mission. Millie-Mae expressed gratitude for getting the opportunity to represent Wales on such a prestigious platform and called it a dream come true to speak before Miss World chairperson Julia Morley and reigning Miss World Krystyna Pyszková.

Her journey through India has also been a cultural delight. After a previous trip to Delhi and Agra to see the Taj Mahal, this time she’s been enchanted by Telangana’s Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace, and Ramappa Temple. She praised the local artistry and even picked up a few words in the native language, such as “Namaskaram” and “Shukriya,” which she plans to take home as heartfelt souvenirs. Despite not being the tallest among contestants, she is determined to give her all during the finals, especially in the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ segment, which she believes reflects the core values of the competition.

Faith Bwalya, Miss Zambia, brought an entirely different but equally inspiring story to the stage. Incredibly, she prepared for the pageant in just 10 days. With no expectations and pure determination, she now finds herself among the Top 4 finalists. Her journey is historic, as Zambia has never placed this far in the Miss World pageant before. Faith emphasized the importance of staying calm, listening carefully, and answering with purpose. Her preparation was less about rehearsed speeches and more about genuine self-reflection and being present in the moment.

Faith shared her intent to challenge outdated stereotypes about African beauty and prove that intelligence, passion, and purpose are just as important as looks. She was grateful for receiving a question about personal challenges something she had deeply hoped for and felt it was a divine moment of alignment. Her heartfelt answer impressed the judges and elevated her standing in the competition. Describing Miss World as unlike any other pageant, she highlighted the warmth, friendship, and positivity shared among contestants.

Both contestants agreed that Telangana was a magical location to host Miss World, offering a blend of tradition, modernity, and hospitality that enriched the overall experience. Their stories, passion projects, and cultural exchange moments symbolize what Miss World stands for a global celebration of inner and outer beauty. As the world eagerly awaits the grand finale on May 31, all eyes will be on these empowered young women who have already proven that they are more than contestants; they are global ambassadors of hope, strength, and purpose.
