Former tennis star Sania Mirza revealed the emotional challenges she faced following her divorce from former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik. In a heartfelt conversation on her new YouTube talk show Serving It Up With Sania, the 38-year-old shared that she experienced a panic attack during one of the lowest moments of her life. She credited close friend and Bollywood director Farah Khan for being her pillar of support during this critical time. Sania recalled that without Farah’s timely presence on set, she would have been unable to go live for a show, stating that Farah’s words and encouragement helped her regain composure.
Farah Khan described how she immediately rushed to Sania’s side, leaving everything behind, just to support her friend. The filmmaker praised Sania’s resilience in managing single motherhood, work, and personal life, acknowledging the extra effort required to raise her son Izhaan Mirza Malik alone while maintaining a demanding career. Sania and Shoaib Malik married in April 2010, welcomed Izhaan in 2018, and separated in early 2024 after Malik announced his marriage to Pakistani actress Sana Javed. Sania’s openness sheds light on mental health, emotional recovery, and the role of supportive friends in overcoming personal crises, inspiring many facing similar struggles.
