This prolonged stretch of unprovoked firing from Pakistani posts has targeted Indian Army positions in key areas of Jammu and Kashmir, including Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sunderbani, and Akhnoor. The Indian Army has continued to respond in a measured but firm manner. Meanwhile, back home in India, the Punjab Police’s State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) Amritsar, in coordination with a central agency, carried out a successful anti-terror operation in the SBS Nagar district. The security forces recovered a significant cache of weapons and explosives from the forested area near Tibba Nangal–Kular Road.

A formal FIR has been filed under relevant legal provisions at the SSOC police station in Amritsar.
Mr. Yadav emphasized that the Punjab Police remain resolute in their commitment to national security and continue to work in tandem with federal agencies to dismantle any emerging terror infrastructure. This operation is part of a broader effort to counter transborder infiltration and the smuggling of arms into Indian territory, especially in the border states.
