Pawan Kalyan Addresses Jagan's Role in Tirumala Laddu Adulteration Controversy in Assembly

In a heated discussion in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly today, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding the alleged ghee adulteration in Tirumala Laddus. Kalyan emphasized that while he did not directly blame the previous Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for the adulteration, the responsibility lies with the TTD governing body and its allocated board.

Kalyan clarified that he never accused Jagan personally of being behind the adulteration. However, he pointed out that, on a moral and administrative level, Jagan, as the head of the government, should have overseen the activities of the TTD and ensured corrective actions were taken. Kalyan expressed confusion as to why Jagan continues to support the members responsible for the issue, despite being aware of their mistakes.

The deputy chief minister further criticized the time being wasted in the assembly, which he argued should be spent on public policy-making rather than discussing the Laddu adulteration controversy. He lamented that if the previous administration had acknowledged its mistake and taken appropriate actions against the culprits, the assembly session would not have been diverted to this issue. Instead, the government is now forced to clarify misleading statements and lies propagated by the previous administration.

Kalyan’s comments reflect the ongoing political fallout in the state, with the YCP administration previously running campaigns claiming that the ghee samples contained no animal fat, presenting only partial reports to support their claims. This has forced the current government to clarify these points in the assembly, as the controversy continues to dominate public discourse.
