Aryna Sabalenka Announces Engagement to Georgios Frangulis Ahead of French Open

World No.1 tennis player Aryna Sabalenka has announced her engagement to her partner, Georgios Frangulis, on March 4, 2026. Sabalenka shared a heartfelt clip on Instagram showcasing the emotional proposal, which took place in a romantic setting with flowers and candles. Frangulis, founder of the Oakberry brand, presented Sabalenka with a diamond ring, and the moment was filled with love as Sabalenka accepted the ring with joy and surprise. The announcement was warmly received by the tennis community, with players such as Novak Djokovic and Ben Shelton offering their congratulations to the couple.

Sabalenka and Frangulis’ relationship became public in 2024, and their bond has since grown stronger. The couple had been the subject of speculation, especially after Sabalenka’s remark during the Brisbane International in January, where she hinted at marriage. Her relationship with Frangulis has played a significant role in her life, especially after the personal loss she faced with the death of her previous partner, Belarusian ice hockey player Konstantin Koltsov, in March 2024. Despite challenges, Sabalenka referred to Frangulis as the "love of my life" in July 2024.

As for her tennis career, Sabalenka had a strong start to 2026 by reaching the final of the Australian Open. However, she faced another tough loss in a thrilling three-set match against Elena Rybakina. Now, with the French Open on the horizon, Sabalenka is determined to push forward and challenge for her first Grand Slam victory at Roland Garros after a close defeat in last year’s final. As the tennis world watches her both on and off the court, Sabalenka’s engagement marks a joyful milestone amidst her journey in 2026.
