Shefali Jariwala's Last Hours: Puja, Fasting, and Anti-Ageing Drugs

Shefali Jariwala, the popular actor known for her iconic performance in the 'Kaanta Laga' music video, passed away on June 27, 2025. The circumstances surrounding her death are still under investigation. According to police sources, Shefali had observed a Satyanarayan puja at her home and was fasting for the day. Despite fasting, she continued taking her anti-ageing medications and a Glutathione injection, commonly used for skin brightening and detoxification.

Reports suggest that the combination of fasting and medication may have caused a significant drop in her blood pressure, leading to her collapse. Around 10:30 pm, Shefali fell unconscious at her residence and was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in Andheri West, where she was declared dead by doctors. The cause of death is suspected to be a cardiac arrest, but an autopsy was conducted to confirm the exact cause. Viscera samples have been sent for further analysis to the Forensic Science Laboratory in Kalina, Mumbai.

The timeline of events leading to Shefali’s death, as confirmed by police, includes her consumption of anti-ageing pills and a Glutathione injection, along with other supplements like multivitamins and collagen. Despite the suspicion of cardiac arrest triggered by the combination of fasting and medication, the authorities are awaiting the post-mortem report.

The police have recorded statements from Shefali’s husband, Parag Tyagi, along with family members, friends, and domestic staff. No foul play has been suspected, and the incident has been officially recorded as an accidental death by the Amboli Police Station. Forensic experts found the medication and supplements at Shefali's home during their investigation. The post-mortem report is expected to provide further clarity in the coming days.
