South Indian politics has seen many cinema superstars enter the political arena, with varying degrees of success. Pawan Kalyan, however, stands out as a rare example of a superstar who has managed to make his mark in politics. Currently, Tamil Nadu actor Thalapathy Vijay is contesting the upcoming assembly election through his TVK party, actively campaigning across the state. Despite his efforts, the final outcome and public sentiment remain uncertain.
Recently, during an interaction with Gen Z, Pawan Kalyan was asked about Vijay's political future. Kalyan's response was measured and straightforward. He stated, “I generally don’t give advice to anyone. Everyone is capable of doing things, but when it comes to Mr. Vijay, he is a very big star, and it’s great to serve the people in whatever role he’s in.” His comments were carefully crafted, neither projecting unrealistic expectations for Vijay’s political journey nor discouraging his supporters.
Amid rumors about a possible political alliance between Vijay’s party and the BJP, Kalyan cleared the air by confirming that he had not interacted with Vijay in over a decade, let alone discuss any potential alliance with the NDA. This clarifies the situation and puts an end to speculations surrounding a possible political partnership.
