Tamil actor Ravi Mohan has finally spoken out in the midst of his ongoing divorce battle with estranged wife Aarti. In a detailed four-page statement shared on social media, the 'Ponniyin Selvan' actor denied all allegations made by Aarti, including claims of being an absentee father. The actor called his silence over the last few months an act of survival, revealing that he was enduring years of emotional, physical, and financial abuse.
The couple's highly public divorce has sparked controversy and divided fans, with each making serious accusations. While Aarti claimed Ravi was distant and uninvolved as a father, Ravi responded by alleging that she manipulated their children for public sympathy. He emphasized that his prolonged silence wasn’t weakness, but a means to survive what he described as an emotionally suffocating marriage.
In his emotional statement, Ravi said, “This isn't a game to me. It's my life, my truth, and my healing.” He further accused Aarti of constructing a false narrative for public attention and financial benefit. According to him, she used their children as tools in her media campaign, keeping him away from them since the separation.
The actor also pushed back on Aarti’s rejection of being called an “ex-wife,” saying, “The term ‘ex’ was coined in my heart the moment I left home, and it will stay that way till my last breath.” He shared the emotional toll the marriage took on him, saying he was kept isolated even from his own parents and was subjected to constant mental pressure. His decision to walk away, he said, was not made lightly but was the only way to reclaim his mental and emotional well-being.
Ravi revealed that despite trying to save the marriage through every possible means, the toxic environment eventually became unbearable. “I was trapped in a reality that had become unlivable,” he shared. His detailed note reflects not just personal pain but also a public effort to clear his name and regain some control over the narrative being shaped around his life. He ended the statement with a strong message: “Let me be clear, I categorically deny these fabricated claims. I will continue to stand in my truth, as I always have – with dignity, with resilience, and with faith in justice.”
Ravi and Aarti’s divorce first made headlines in September 2024, when Ravi publicly announced the separation without Aarti’s consent. Since then, the situation has escalated into a media-fueled controversy with allegations flying both ways. The latest rumor linking Ravi with singer and therapist Kenishaa added more fire to the already volatile situation, especially after the two were spotted together at a wedding in Chennai.
As both parties continue to release statements and the legal battle unfolds, public attention remains fixated on the former couple. Ravi’s latest post, captioned “First and Final One From My Desk! With Love Ravi Mohan ‘Live and Let Live,’” indicates he does not intend to speak further on the issue and prefers to let the court decide the outcome. This unfolding drama has not only captivated the South Indian entertainment industry but also sparked broader discussions on celebrity privacy, mental health, and the complexities of high-profile divorces in the public eye.
