Pleasanton is getting a taste of Danville’s craft beer scene. The city’s Planning Commission has unanimously approved Danville Brewing Company’s proposal to open a 10,000-square-foot brewery and tasting venue at 3595 Utah Street, near the intersection of Stanley Boulevard and Bernal Avenue.
The new location will include an 8,100-square-foot beer production and tasting facility, plus a 2,000-square-foot covered patio designed to create a vibrant and social atmosphere. Plans include seating for more than 200 guests, parking enhancements, landscaping, and food truck service with one fixed truck and one rotating vendor. Outdoor firepits, casual games, and a stage for live music are also planned to round out the experience.
The expansion marks a major milestone for Danville Brewing, which first launched in 2016 in downtown Danville. On Instagram, the brewery shared its hope to break ground by late summer 2025. While the name “Danville Brewing Company” will remain, owner Marcus Maita hinted at possibly using a locally inspired nickname for the Pleasanton location, such as “DBC the Ridge” or “DBC Alisal.”
The project received enthusiastic support during the May 14 Pleasanton Planning Commission meeting. Commissioner Anurag Jain noted the project’s potential to revitalize a largely industrial area and bring much-needed community activity to the neighborhood. With its blend of award-winning craft beer, lively outdoor seating, and live entertainment, the new DBC location is expected to become a go-to hangout for locals and visitors alike once construction is complete.
