LA2028 Olympic ticket registration opens with some seats under $30
Ticket registration for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles opens on January 14 at 9 a.m. Central Time and will remain available until March 18. Fans who sign up within this window at the official registration site will be entered into a lottery system. Notifications will be sent starting March 31 to indicate assigned time slots for ticket purchases. Those selected in the lottery will be able to begin purchasing tickets on April 2.

The initial purchasing window, running from April 2 to April 6, is limited to residents living near Olympic venues in Southern California and Oklahoma City, where some events will take place. Organizers will manage access by zip code to prioritize local fans. The general public ticket sale will follow from April 9 to April 19, allowing broader access to the 14 million tickets available for the Games.

Organizers announced that single-event tickets will start at $28, with one million tickets priced at that level. Roughly one-third of all tickets will cost less than $100, providing affordable options for fans. Registrants must be at least 18 years old at the time of registration. The full Olympic schedule has already been published to help attendees plan their visits.

The 2028 Summer Games will be the first held in the United States since the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, making Los Angeles the first city in North America and the third globally to host three Summer Games. The Paralympic Games will also take place in Los Angeles for the first time, with tickets scheduled to go on sale in 2027.

The registration process and lottery system are designed to give fair access to fans while ensuring local communities have priority for nearby venues. With millions of tickets available and many priced affordably, organizers aim to maximize participation and make the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics accessible to sports fans across the country.
