Filmmaker Priyadarshan and his ex-wife Lissy Lakshmi have made headlines once again, not for a marriage, but for a reunion that has taken place ten years after their divorce. The couple, who had been married for 24 years before parting ways in 2016, have now chosen to live together once more. However, Priyadarshan clarified that they have no intentions of remarrying. Instead, their focus is on companionship, friendship, and mutual love—qualities that go beyond a marriage certificate. This emotional reunion has been supported by their children, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Siddharth, who played a significant role in bringing them together again.
Priyadarshan explained that despite living together again, the couple does not see the need for remarriage. "Except for a marriage certificate, we are living the same life together,” he mentioned. The filmmaker emphasized that their relationship is based on deeper values rather than the formalities of a legal document. The family and close friends have been pleased with this reconciliation. Mammootty, a close friend of the couple, also met them to express his happiness over their decision. Their relationship had experienced a rough patch during the divorce proceedings, which were described as tumultuous and bitter, but now they are focused on enjoying a peaceful life. Priyadarshan added that ego played a significant role in the breakdown of their marriage, but the love and understanding they share today have led them back to each other, without any thought of a remarriage.
