Young riders delivered impressive performances at the HPRC Equestrian Challenge in Hyderabad, with Gautam Sanjay Sujanaani, Janampally Hitesh Reddy and Dhruva Potineni claiming top honours across key dressage categories.

Young Riders Continue Strong Form

Hyderabad’s promising equestrian riders carried their strong National Qualifier form into the HPRC Equestrian Challenge held at the Hyderabad Polo & Riding Club (HPRC) on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Gautam Sanjay Sujanaani, Janampally Hitesh Reddy and Anet Castilino were among the standout performers as riders competed across dressage and hacks categories. Gautam claimed first place in the Dressage Junior event while riding Airstrike. Kumbham Sai Tanvi Reddy, also representing HPRC, finished second aboard Centaur.

Hitesh and Dhruva Claim Dressage Honours

Janampally Hitesh Reddy led the Dressage Children-1 category aboard Centaur, with Anet Castilino taking second place on Bella. Mereddy Akshaj Reddy completed the top three while riding Chestnut Charmer. In Dressage Children-2, Dhruva Potineni of The Ashwa Collective secured the top position aboard Grace. HPRC rider Mysha Gupta finished runner-up on Agni, while Vedik Guduri on Tin Tin A and Ananya Gupta on Roudy shared third place. The results highlighted a strong showing from HPRC riders as well as emerging talent from other equestrian training programmes.

Myra Alapati Leads Under-12 Hacks Event

The Hacks Under-12 Years category produced another strong performance for HPRC, with Myra Alapati taking first place aboard Badsha. Rhythm Tiwari of Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, finished second while riding Chetak. Neil Sinha Jha on Enigma and M. Anaika Reddy on Airstrike shared third place, while Mohammed Izaan finished fourth. The category gave several younger riders an opportunity to demonstrate their control, confidence and riding skills in competition.

Apeksha Matcha Tops Hacks 13–16 Category

Apeksha Matcha of HPRC emerged victorious in the Hacks 13 to 16 Years event aboard Parazi. Hyderabad Public School’s Ishaan Kandhari secured second place on Kajal. Zoya Faiyaz of HPRC, riding Master Touch, and Swathi Janardhanan of HPS Begumpet, aboard Misti, shared third place. Atharv Chendra Varma Tippani of HPS Begumpet finished fourth. The performances across the competition reflected the growing pool of young equestrian talent in Hyderabad, with HPRC riders featuring prominently across several podiums and school-level riders also making their presence felt.
