India Women Beat Zimbabwe by 121 Runs to Seal ODI Series

India Women continued their impressive form with a commanding 121-run victory over Zimbabwe in the second ODI at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Brilliant centuries from Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma powered India to 328/6 before Vaishnavi Sharma's four-wicket haul helped dismiss Zimbabwe for 207 in 48.5 overs. The victory secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

India Women vs Zimbabwe 2nd ODI Result

India chose to bat first but suffered an early setback as captain Smriti Mandhana departed without scoring and Shafali Verma managed just eight runs. At 19/2, the hosts needed a strong recovery.

Harmanpreet Kaur joined Pratika Rawal and rebuilt the innings with a crucial 124-run partnership for the third wicket. Rawal contributed 61 from 67 balls before Zimbabwe removed her in the 23rd over.

Harmanpreet Kaur Century Against Zimbabwe

Harmanpreet delivered an outstanding performance under pressure, scoring 126 from 121 deliveries with 15 boundaries. Her controlled batting helped India recover from the early dismissals and build a competitive total.

After Tejal Hasabnis fell for three, Harmanpreet combined with Deepti Sharma in a remarkable 153-run fifth-wicket partnership. The experienced batter was eventually dismissed in the 47th over and received the Player of the Match award.

Deepti Sharma Unbeaten Century in Vadodara

Deepti continued India's dominance with an unbeaten 106 from 86 deliveries, including 15 fours. She reached her second ODI century in 83 balls and accelerated the scoring during the final overs.

Her partnership with Harmanpreet transformed India's innings and helped the hosts finish at 328/6 in 50 overs, setting Zimbabwe a challenging target of 329.

Vaishnavi Sharma Four-Wicket Bowling Performance

Zimbabwe struggled to maintain the required scoring rate despite resistance from Modester Mupachikwa and Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano.

Mupachikwa scored 49 while Mugeri-Tiripano contributed 46. Their 69-run partnership briefly steadied Zimbabwe's chase before India's bowlers regained control.

Vaishnavi Sharma returned impressive figures of 4/39, while Deepti completed an excellent all-round performance with three wickets. Zimbabwe were eventually bowled out for 207.

India Women Clinch ODI Series 2-0

The 121-run victory gave India an unbeatable 2-0 advantage following their nine-wicket win in the opening ODI.

The result also marked Smriti Mandhana's first ODI series victory as India's full-time captain. India will now aim to complete a clean sweep in the third and final ODI on October 28 in Vadodara.

With Harmanpreet, Deepti and Vaishnavi delivering match-winning performances, India have strengthened their momentum ahead of future international assignments.
