The launch event of Mindset Shift, a motivational book authored by Dr. Sharani, took place on Thursday at the SS Convention Centre in Vijayawada, drawing a prestigious audience. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu and Padma Vibhushan awardee and Megastar Shri Chiranjeevi graced the occasion as chief guests, making it a memorable and inspiring event. Dr. Sharani, the daughter of Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana, was praised for her work aimed at motivating individuals toward success and personal growth.
Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the significance of positive thinking and unwavering dedication as key ingredients for achieving success. Reflecting on the life of Chiranjeevi, he said, "Chiranjeevi garu rose from a humble background with no film industry connections. His resolve and positive mindset propelled him to unprecedented heights. After NTR garu transitioned into politics, Chiranjeevi garu seized the opportunity with hard work and filled the void left in Telugu cinema."
Naidu also highlighted Chiranjeevi’s exceptional contributions to social service, particularly through his pioneering blood bank initiative. "During my tenure as the Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, I often met Chiranjeevi garu. In one such meeting, he requested land for setting up a blood bank a noble idea rare among film actors," Naidu shared.
Addressing the gathering, Chiranjeevi spoke about the crucial role of mindset in shaping one’s destiny. Expressing admiration for Mindset Shift, he said, "Books on personality development have always inspired me. The Secret deeply influenced me, and I see Mindset Shift carrying forward the same essence. Success isn't just about hard work it’s about smart work and cultivating the right mindset."
Recounting his own journey, Chiranjeevi shared that after graduating, he initially lacked clarity about his future. However, his childhood passion for acting guided him toward his true calling. Despite facing criticism and limited opportunities in the early stages of his career, he pursued acting with relentless focus. "When I informed my parents about my ambition to become an actor, they supported me but also advised me to pursue another professional course. I joined the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICWAI) alongside film studies. Eventually, I realized acting was my true love and decided to dedicate myself completely to it," he said.
Chiranjeevi emphasized that success is not defined solely by talent or effort but also by sincerity, humility, and integrity. "Without character, success is hollow. True respect is earned by upholding values and staying humble," he added. When asked for a key message on developing a resilient mindset, Chiranjeevi emphasized the importance of "Determination." "Life is full of disappointments, distractions, and difficulties. But determination helps us push through. In my early career, I was often cast in supporting or villainous roles. Instead of getting discouraged, I treated every role as a stepping stone. That consistency and belief eventually helped me break through and become a lead actor," he shared. Chiranjeevi congratulated Dr. Sharani on writing a book that could inspire many to unlock their potential and lead more successful lives.
The event also featured a solemn moment of reflection as Chiranjeevi expressed sorrow over the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed several innocent lives, including two from Andhra Pradesh. "It is heartbreaking to see such loss. I appreciate the swift support offered by Chandrababu Naidu garu and Pawan Kalyan garu to the bereaved families. My heartfelt condolences go out to all the families who lost their loved ones," Chiranjeevi said. A moment of silence was observed to honor the victims. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Minister Ponguru Narayana, former Minister Shri Ganta Srinivasa Rao, and other prominent personalities. With powerful messages on mindset, resilience, and public service, the Mindset Shift launch was not just a book release it became an inspiring gathering for everyone present.
