According to filings, his base salary was $400,000 (₹3.33 crore), but the rapid rise in Tesla’s stock price multiplied the value of his equity awards, making his 2024 earnings among the highest ever recorded for a CFO. By comparison, Satya Nadella earned $79.1 million (₹658 crore), while Sundar Pichai’s 2024 compensation stood at $10.73 million (₹89 crore).

A Chartered Accountant by profession, Vaibhav Taneja holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Delhi.
