Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has embarked on a significant six-day visit to Singapore, departing from Hyderabad airport at around 11 PM today and scheduled to arrive in Singapore by 6 AM tomorrow. This visit is expected to strengthen economic and diplomatic ties between Andhra Pradesh and Singapore, as well as attract foreign investment to the state.
Joining the Chief Minister are IT Minister Nara Lokesh, Industries Minister TG Bharath, and several top officials and dignitaries. The delegation is focused on learning from Singapore’s globally admired social infrastructure, particularly in areas that could influence the planned development of Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh’s capital.
On July 27, CM Chandrababu Naidu will attend an International Investors Summit in Singapore. This event is expected to attract major global investors interested in Andhra Pradesh’s economic landscape. A special session is planned with the local NRI community, where over 5000 NRIs are expected to interact directly with the Chief Minister. The agenda will include investment opportunities, development plans, and community welfare initiatives.
The CM will explore Singapore’s urban planning, public housing models, and smart city frameworks to draw inspiration for Amaravati’s sustainable development. The Singapore government’s full cooperation with this visit reflects the long-standing relationship between Chandrababu Naidu and Singapore, dating back to his previous tenure when Singapore was involved in Amaravati’s early planning.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan will oversee the state’s political landscape during this trip. His leadership during this short phase is drawing attention, potentially marking a key moment in his political journey.
This visit is expected to bring an economic boost through foreign direct investment (FDI), enable knowledge transfer for smart infrastructure and governance, and enhance engagement with a large NRI community in Southeast Asia.
