Eligible applicants must be citizens of one of the 16 designated countries:

India, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Japan, China, Singapore, Brazil, Malaysia, Albania, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine.

Applicants must have an eligible full-time job offer from a certified Danish employer. The position must be covered by a relevant collective agreement governing employment conditions.

Denmark work permit salary requirements

The minimum annual salary is DKK 322,000 at the 2026 level, equivalent to approximately DKK 26,833 per month before taxes.

The threshold is lower than that of certain existing Danish work permit programs. However, the amount may be adjusted for 2027.

Actual take-home earnings will depend on Danish income taxes and applicable deductions.

SIRI certification requirements for employers

Denmark's Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) will administer the scheme.

Employers must obtain SIRI certification before foreign workers can apply through this route.

SIRI expects employer certification applications to open in early December 2026.
