Urvashi Rautela Claims Jewellery Worth Rs 70 Lakh Stolen from London Airport

Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela has reported the theft of a luxury suitcase containing jewellery worth Rs 70 lakh at London's Gatwick Airport. The incident has raised serious concerns over the security measures at the airport, especially since the theft occurred directly from the baggage belt area. Rautela was in London attending the Wimbledon tennis tournament when the incident took place.

The actress, who was travelling on an Emirates flight from Mumbai, shared her distress on social media, explaining that despite being a Platinum Emirates Member, her Christian Dior brown baggage was stolen from the baggage belt. Rautela highlighted the fact that she had the baggage tag and ticket, yet the disappearance of the suitcase indicated a serious lapse in security at the airport. She expressed her disappointment over the lack of support from Emirates and Gatwick Airport officials when she sought assistance in recovering her missing luggage.

This incident adds to the growing concerns over airport security, particularly regarding the vulnerability of baggage handling areas. In a related development, earlier this month, Rautela’s mother accused her former manager, Vedika Prakash Shetty, of theft, alleging that Shetty had stolen from the family during her tenure as an executive assistant. This added accusation has only deepened the concerns surrounding Rautela's personal and professional challenges.

Rautela, who is known for her roles in films like Singh Saab the Great and Sanam Re, has also been active in philanthropic activities through the Urvashi Rautela Foundation. Despite the personal setbacks, Rautela continues to support various causes while navigating these difficult situations.
