The limited-time test will run through January 24, 2026, or while supplies last, according to the company. Chick-fil-A confirmed that participating restaurants will offer variations of the sandwich, featuring a maple waffle bun paired with the brand’s signature chicken filet. The build also includes applewood smoked bacon, a honey butter spread, and a side of syrup, and will be available in both original and spicy formats depending on location. Company representatives explained that the breakfast version and the standard version differ slightly, but both aim to deliver a balance of textures and flavors already popular in regional chicken and waffle dishes.

In Baltimore, select restaurants will test both the Chicken & Waffles Breakfast Sandwich and the Chicken & Waffles Sandwich during the trial period. In San Antonio, however, only the breakfast version will be available. Chick-fil-A advised customers in both markets to check directly with their local restaurant for exact hours and availability, as not all locations within the cities will participate.

While the company’s website lists ten Chick-fil-A restaurants in the San Antonio area, it has not yet released details specifying which of those locations will carry the new breakfast sandwich. The lack of a published list means customers may need to contact stores individually to confirm whether the item is offered. This uncertainty is typical of Chick-fil-A’s test launches, which often involve a limited number of restaurants even within selected markets.

The introduction of chicken and waffles marks another step in the brand’s ongoing strategy to expand its morning menu offerings and gauge guest interest in inventive variations of its classic chicken selections. Past regional tests have often helped shape future nationwide releases, though the company has not indicated whether the new sandwich could eventually reach menus across the country.
