The last time Ram Charan did a remake, he delivered a blockbuster with Dhruva, the Telugu remake of Tamil super hit film, Thani Oruvan. The RRR actor was recently asked by a national media portal if he would actually be interested in doing a remake and he had an interesting response for the same.
"If at all, I'll have to do a remake, I might certainly have one condition. I'd request the producer of the original not to release the film on OTT. That way, my remake will have some X factor and USP to pull the audience to the theatres. If the original is on OTT, and the vast majority of the audience watch it, there wouldn't be too much emphasis on my remake" Charan said.
Adding further, Charan opined that remakes have their set of pros and cons and given the current OTT trend, where everyone has access to other language cinema, actors are better off doing original scripts.
About the bonding with Jr NTR after working on RRR, Charan said he found a brother for life n Tarak and he thanked Rajamouli for bringing them together for the action thriller. "If it wasn't for Rajamouli, I wouldn't have done RRR."
Charan will be next be seen in Shankar's RC15 which is around halfway thought the shoot now.
