In an interesting twist, the makers of the second installment of HIT - HIT: Second Case roped in Adivi Sesh for the lead role in the film. This threw a surprise to many as not many expected Vishwak Sen to be replaced by Adivi Sesh in the film that was termed to be a sequel.

Cut to now, the director of HIT franchise, Sailesh Kolanu has revealed the story behind the change of heroes and here’s what he had to say about the same.

A netizen tagged Sailesh and asked “ Total SECOND CASE Sketches , EDITS,In HIT:1 END CREDITS Similiar To HIT:Second case teaser & Trailer lo unnay Clarity ga Means @VishwakSenActor Is Replaced By @AdiviSesh Due to ? Why @KolanuSailesh u r sayng universe but u changed Protagonist??? Y?.”

In response, Sailesh wrote “ I originally intended to continue with Vikram for another case before KD came in. After the pandemic I understood that I had to do something unique and big to draw the audience to the theatres. So i shuffled the officers around but the order of the cases was kept the same.”

Sailesh added “ So Vikram will later solve the case that I originally wrote for KD, which will be even more riveting :)” he added.

HIT 2 is set for theatrical release on the 2nd of December. It has done the highest theatrical business for an Adivi Sesh starrer till now.
