Mahesh Babu and Trivikram's much-anticipated project SSMB28 has gotten completely new packaging and branding. The film was initially promoted as an action thriller and that is not the case anymore. 

Trivikram has revamped the script entirely and he has come up with his trademark entertainer, say reports. The film was originally conceived as a family entertainer. But upon Mahesh's input, it was rejigged and shaped up into a wholesome family entertainer. 

The plan is to resume the shooting in the second week of January. The shooting schedules are being planned in such a way that the filming will be wrapped up at a brisk pace once it resumes. 

The April release plan, which was announced initially is no longer in effect. The new plan is to release the film in August 2023 in order to have enough time for filming and post-production. 

This is a really important film for Mahesh as this will be his last release before he goes on a voyage with Rajamouli for his next. So the stakes are naturally high on SSMB28.
