Reba Monica John Disappointed With Her Role In Rajinikanth’s Coolie
Reba Monica John, who continues to balance lead roles in Telugu films and supporting roles in Tamil cinema, has voiced her disappointment over her part in Rajinikanth’s much-talked-about film Coolie. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie features her as one of Sathyaraj’s daughters, a role she initially believed would hold significance.
However, after the release, Reba revealed she was disheartened by how little her character contributed to the film. She appeared only in a handful of scenes and had no impactful dialogues, leaving her feeling like an extra rather than a meaningful part of the storyline. She admitted she felt misled about the importance of her role, especially given the scale of the project.
In contrast to her Tamil projects, Reba continues to receive lead heroine offers in Telugu cinema, pairing with rising actors. She was last seen opposite Sree Vishnu in Samajavaragamana and appeared in the Swathi Reddy song in Mad Square. She is set to feature in Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film Jana Nayagan, which may give her the screen presence she had hoped for. While the Coolie experience left her dissatisfied, Reba’s popularity and talent keep her in demand across both industries.
