Mahesh Babu is set to undergo the most intense makeover of his career for his next with Rajamouli which is in the pre-production phase now. One such pic of Mahesh has surfaced on social media and it has started to trend already. 

In this pic, Mahesh is seen with a beard and long hair(over a cap). Fans are excitedly commenting that Mahesh has turned into an Indianized version of Tom Cruise and terming him "Naatu Tom Cruise". 

Rajamouli is known for giving career-defining blockbusters to stars and also designing the very best looks for them. While we don't know if Mahesh's new bearded avatar is for the film with Rajamouli or not, what we know for certain is that Rajamouli will anyway sculpt a new Mahesh on screen. 

There have been a few complaints that Mahesh hasn't changed his look too much in his recent films and this could get sorted by Rajamouli.

Mahesh is taking special training and workshops to get himself attuned to the technology that will be used in the Rajamouli directorial. The filming will commence in the next few months and it is to be shot on a lavish scale
