Prasanth Varma Unveils Mahakali: India's First Female Superhero Film with Pooja Aparna Kolluru

Prasanth Varma's production company, PVCU, is making waves once again with the announcement of Mahakali, India's first female superhero film. Following the success of his debut project HanuMan, Varma has partnered with Nandamuri Mokshagnya for this exciting new venture.
About Mahakali
The film, set against the backdrop of Bengal where Goddess Kali is revered, will be directed by Pooja Aparna Kolluru, marking a significant milestone in Indian cinema. This project promises to be a grand spectacle, produced by RKD Studios under the guidance of Riwaz Ramesh Duggal and presented by RK Duggal.
The recently unveiled title poster features a striking image of a girl and a tiger in a circus setting, with a chaotic scene in the background as a giant wheel is set ablaze. This imagery suggests a thrilling narrative, reminiscent of the intriguing elements present in HanuMan.
Technical Highlights
Mahakali is set to be a high-budget film, emphasizing lavish technical standards. It will be available in all Indian languages as well as several foreign languages, and will be presented in 3D IMAX format for an immersive viewing experience. Smaran Sai will be composing the music, and Sri Nagendra Tangalla is onboard as the production designer.
