In a recent interview, Nag Ashwin addressed rumors regarding Mahesh Babu joining the Kalki universe as Lord Krishna. Ashwin mentioned that although Krishna's full face was not shown in the first film, he believes Mahesh Babu would be an ideal choice for the role if a full-length character is introduced in the sequel. Ashwin praised Babu’s performance in Khaleja and expressed confidence that he could "pull off" the Krishna role.
