Nandamuri Balakrishna has emerged as one of the most successful senior actors in Telugu cinema, delivering four consecutive hits post-COVID. His latest release, Daaku Maharaaj, has made an impressive mark at the box office, grossing over Rs. 156 crore worldwide in just 8 days. This achievement has made Daaku Maharaaj the biggest hit in Balakrishna’s career, surpassing his previous record set by Akhanda, which earned Rs. 150 crore in lifetime collections.
The film’s success has been boosted by the festive season of Sankranthi, with a surge in ticket prices contributing to its strong performance. Released on January 12, 2025, Daaku Maharaaj was directed by Bobby Kolli and features a stellar ensemble cast, including Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, Bobby Deol, and Urvashi Rautela.
Sithara Entertainments, the film’s production company, proudly shared the news of the film’s success, declaring Balakrishna the "KING OF SANKRANTHI". Reports suggest that Daaku Maharaaj has already crossed 89% of its business, with expectations to reach breakeven in the coming days. The film has managed to draw large audiences and create a strong fanbase, marking another major milestone for Balakrishna’s career in the post-COVID era.
