Latest Bollywood and Tollywood Releases: Big March Movie Lineup

The Tollywood box office saw a surprise hit in March with the courtroom drama Court surpassing expectations. While Court stood out as the month's most successful film, a wave of major releases is set to close the month with a bang. With five new films hitting theatres in the final week of March, audiences can expect a diverse lineup of entertainment. Among the upcoming releases, Robinwood, Mad Square, Lucifer 2: Empuraan, Veera Dheera Shoora, and Sikandar are generating significant buzz. Of these, Robinwood and Mad Square are the two straight Telugu releases.

Nithin’s Robinwood has particularly piqued interest with its unique elements. Featuring Sreeleela as the leading lady and a special guest appearance by Australian cricketer David Warner, the film has attracted considerable attention. The hit song Adi dha Surprise has further heightened expectations, and with the current demand for comedy films, Robinwood may provide Nithin the opportunity to break his recent streak of underwhelming performances.

Mad Square, scheduled to release on March 28, targets college-going audiences and is expected to build on the success of its predecessor. The makers are also considering a special premiere on March 27, with advance bookings already gaining momentum. Adding to the excitement, Lucifer 2: Empuraan, the much-awaited sequel to Lucifer, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and starring Mohanlal, is set to hit theatres on March 27. The original Lucifer was a massive success and was later remade in Telugu as Godfather. Given the popularity of the first film, Empuraan carries high expectations and is predicted to be a box office draw.

On the other hand, Veera Dheera Shoora, featuring Vikram in the lead, has had relatively less pre-release buzz compared to the other major titles. However, the presence of S.J. Suryah in a pivotal role has given fans hope that the film will resonate well with audiences. Meanwhile, Bollywood’s Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, is also gearing up for a March-end release. While analysts predict limited impact in smaller B and C centres, Salman Khan’s star power is expected to ensure strong box office numbers in major regions. With this diverse mix of comedy, action, and drama, Tollywood is set for an eventful conclusion to March, and fans eagerly await which film will emerge as the next big hit.
