Born at just 1 pound, 11 ounces, under intense circumstances, Malti spent over three months in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and needed six blood transfusions. “She came into the world under very intense circumstances,” Nick recalled, revealing that what was supposed to be an April birth became an emergency early delivery. The couple had to split their time into 12-hour hospital shifts during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, supporting their daughter and each other.

Despite the emotional strain, Nick shared that Malti’s fight from day one left a lasting impact on him. “She fought every day,” he said, expressing immense gratitude for her resilience. As Nick reflects on these challenging yet rewarding experiences, he feels that every day with his family, especially with Malti, is a gift – a gift that began with his marriage to Priyanka Chopra, a union he wouldn’t change for anything.
