Megastar Chiranjeevi has officially teamed up with director Anil Ravipudi for a high-profile Telugu film that is generating considerable excitement in Tollywood. The film is jointly produced by Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainment, and was formally launched recently in Hyderabad. With production plans now shifting into high gear, regular shooting for the film is expected to commence shortly. The makers are eyeing a grand theatrical release during the Sankranthi 2026 festive season, which traditionally offers a golden window for Telugu blockbusters. As a result, the casting team is working aggressively to finalize the film’s female lead, with strong buzz indicating that popular South Indian actress Nayanthara is being considered for the role.

Sources reveal that discussions are currently underway between Nayanthara’s team and the film’s producers, although no official agreement has been signed. If Nayanthara does come on board, this will mark her third collaboration with Chiranjeevi. The duo previously shared screen space in Syeraa Narasimha Reddy, where she played the role of Chiru’s wife, and in Godfather, in which she portrayed his sister. While her performance in Godfather received praise, many fans felt her character in Syeraa did not leave a lasting impression. Both previous films underperformed at the box office, despite the star-studded cast and strong pre-release buzz. This has led to some mixed sentiment among fans who are cautiously optimistic about the potential third pairing between Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara. Supporters are hoping that this project breaks the streak and delivers a major commercial success.

Interestingly, actress Mrunal Thakur was earlier rumored to be in contention for the female lead role. However, insiders have confirmed that there is no truth to those reports. Furthermore, the filmmakers are reportedly considering introducing a second heroine into the script, but no details or confirmations have been released so far. Director Anil Ravipudi, known for his mass-appealing entertainers such as Sarileru Neekevvaru and F2, has reportedly finalized the script and is currently scouting for suitable shooting locations. In parallel, casting for key roles is also in progress. Industry analysts believe that Ravipudi’s trademark commercial formula, combined with Chiranjeevi’s star power, could result in a festive box office winner.
Given the festival release timeline and the expectations surrounding this film, every detail is being handled with precision. From script fine-tuning to assembling the perfect cast, the team appears determined to make this a Sankranthi release to remember.

While fans await official confirmation regarding the lead actress and supporting cast, the buzz surrounding the Chiranjeevi-Anil Ravipudi collaboration continues to grow. If the deal with Nayanthara goes through, it would be a casting coup that could significantly raise the film’s profile. For now, anticipation builds as the team gears up to begin regular shooting and gradually reveal more about this exciting mega project. Telugu cinema lovers can expect further updates in the coming weeks as the film moves deeper into production.
