Neil Bhoopalam on Pyaar Paisa Profit: Playing Rajat Was a Blast
Actor Neil Bhoopalam, known for his versatility in film and web series, is currently winning attention for his role as the sharp and complex Rajat in the drama series Pyaar Paisa Profit. Describing the experience as “a blast,” Neil recently opened up about his journey stepping into the shoes of a high-stakes business tycoon and what made this project stand out for him personally and professionally.

In the show, Rajat is the head of Fusion Funds, a high-pressure finance company. Neil admits that the ruthless, power-driven world Rajat inhabits is far removed from his own life. “Rajat runs a high-pressure finance company not quite my personal reality,” Neil shared. “But the intensity, the stakes, the relationships? That I could connect with.” Despite the character’s cold business persona, Neil found the performance creatively satisfying. “I’m not used to that level of ruthlessness, especially in business. But playing him? That was a blast.”

Interestingly, Neil revealed that Rajat’s onscreen office is actually the real-life office of the show’s producers, Yash and Mamta Patnaik of Inspire Films. “Yes, the office you see onscreen that’s Yash and Mamta’s! Sitting in their chairs, working in that space, it just added a certain energy,” Neil said. Adding a deeper emotional layer, Neil reflected on how he continued filming shortly after losing his father, B.K. Chandramohan. “He told me not to change my schedule. So I didn’t. It felt like he was with me throughout,” Neil shared. He thanked director Prashant Singh and the production team for their support during that period. “I’m so thankful to the entire team for their kindness.”

The series Pyaar Paisa Profit explores the emotional and professional rollercoaster experienced by young professionals. “Most of us are first-generation in our industries. We don’t have blueprints,” Neil said. “We’re learning how to balance ambition, relationships, and family all in real time.”

When asked what advice Rajat would give, Neil responded with a smile: “He’d probably say, ‘Love money.’ But I disagree.” He elaborated, “I believe both love and money need care like plants. Neglect either, and they’ll wither.” Neil concluded by sharing his appreciation for the vibrancy of working on a film or series set. “May everyone get to work on a film set at least once. It’s one of the most vibrant places on Earth.”

Pyaar Paisa Profit tells the story of four ambitious friends Abhijeet, Saurabh, Shruti, and Garima who start with dreams of high-paying jobs. But the harsh realities of cutthroat bosses, romantic chaos, and job insecurity test their bonds. In the end, the very thing that brought them together money becomes the wedge that divides them. With its blend of emotional depth, social commentary, and personal transformation, Pyaar Paisa Profit offers viewers more than just entertainment it’s a reflection of contemporary struggles in love, finance, and ambition.
