The teaser for the highly anticipated Kannada action film KD - The Devil was unveiled on July 10 during a grand launch event in Mumbai. Directed by Prem of Jogi fame, the film brings together powerhouse performers Dhruva Sarja and Sanjay Dutt in a stylized gangster drama set in the gritty world of the 1970s. The teaser, lasting two minutes and eleven seconds, was released in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, reflecting the pan-India appeal of the project.

The teaser introduces Sanjay Dutt as Dhak Deva and Dhruva Sarja as the fierce Kaali Dasa, aka KD. Both characters are depicted as brutal gangsters “bonded by blood,” forming the central focus of this period drama. It offers quick glimpses of intense action sequences, dramatic confrontations, and stylized visuals that hint at a high-octane commercial entertainer. The supporting cast includes Shilpa Shetty, Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, and Reeshma Nanaiah, who plays the female lead. Nora Fatehi is also set to make her Kannada film debut with a special appearance in a song.

The soundtrack, composed by Arjun Janya, has already generated buzz with singles like ‘Shiva Shiva’ and ‘Settagalla’.
