Nandamuri Balakrishna fans are in for a massive birthday surprise this year. The highly anticipated Akhanda 2: Thandavam, a sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Akhanda, is all set to unveil its first look and teaser tomorrow, June 9, just ahead of NBK’s birthday.

The Balakrishna–Boyapati Sreenu combo has never failed to deliver a mass spectacle, with each collaboration raising the bar. Akhanda marked their third successful outing together, and the upcoming sequel, Thandavam, promises to elevate the franchise even further.

The official announcement poster teased intense Shaivite symbolism, adding to the intrigue and mysticism that the character of Akhanda is known for. Director Boyapati Sreenu, known for his electrifying action choreography, is said to be paying meticulous attention to each fight sequence, ensuring they surpass the original.

Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, and presented by M Tejaswini Nandamuri, the film is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 25, 2025.
