Shiva Rajkumar & Daali Dhananjaya Team Up for 666 Operation Dream Theatre
Director Hemanth Rao, who gained critical acclaim for ‘Sapta Sagaradaache Ello’, has announced his next project titled ‘666 Operation Dream Theatre’. This highly anticipated Kannada film brings together two of the industry’s biggest stars, Shiva Rajkumar and Daali Dhananjaya, in what promises to be a stylish action thriller set in the 1970s. The announcement was made with the release of an animated title teaser on June 19, timed to celebrate Shiva Rajkumar’s remarkable 40 years in Kannada cinema.
The teaser stands out for its slick design and pays tribute to the legendary ‘CID 999’ spy thriller series that featured Dr Rajkumar, evoking nostalgia while promising a fresh cinematic experience. Music by Charan Raj further enhances the period feel, capturing the essence of that era. Early reports indicate the film will explore a mentor-protégé relationship between Shiva Rajkumar and Dhananjaya, a dynamic that fans appreciated in their previous collaboration in the 2018 film ‘Tagaru’.
Hemanth Rao is known for his distinct and memorable movie titles, and ‘666 Operation Dream Theatre’ continues this trend, building anticipation for the project. Although Shiva Rajkumar and Hemanth Rao’s earlier planned project ‘Bhairavana Kone Pata’ was postponed due to health issues, this new film is moving forward. Shiva Rajkumar is also set to star in the action drama ‘45’ alongside Upendra and Raj B Shetty, while Dhananjaya is busy with films like ‘Uttarakaanda’, ‘Jingo’, and ‘Anna from Mexico’. The collaboration between these two talented actors under Hemanth Rao’s direction is expected to be a major highlight of Kannada cinema in 2025.
